Many people have reached out to me and asked where they can find the exam code for the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification. ISC2 haven’t made it very clear where those looking at getting a free shot at this certification can find the exam code and so I thought it would be a good idea to share a quick post with you on how you can get your free exam voucher.

It is worth noting that this exam is not going to be free forever so depending on when you are reading this, things may have changed, nevertheless, as of now February 2023, your first shot at taking the exam is free.

Now, the first thing you need to do is sign up and register to become an ISC2 Candidate on the ISC2 website. If you are unsure on how to do that, please take a look at the following video that will explain the process and also give you more information on what I think you will need in order to pass the exam the first time.

Assuming you are now an ISC2 candidate and you have completed the self-paced training content, you should now be thinking about taking the exam and getting certified as an ISC2 CC. To do that you will need to register to take the exam in person at a Pearson Vue testing centre; Once registered, you can schedule the ISC2 CC exam. When you have selected your nearest testing centre, time and date, you will be asked to pay the usual fee of $199 but you will also have the option to enter a promotional code. This is where you will need to input the code provided by ISC2 on the candidate benefits page here. Once you have successfully entered the code, the exam fee should change to $0.00 and you should be ready to complete the transaction. But wait! before you speed ahead and book your exam, please ensure that you read the terms and conditions for booking and taking the exam because you may not be able to reschedule or cancel and rebook your exam at a later date.

Hi, that’s not true. I checked the link just now and it still works. Maybe try and refresh your browser after clearing your cache and/or ensure you have signed in with your ISC2 account.
